when my thoughts slip away it seems to me as if it was yesterday,
but it's already a long time ago, it's a rainy day grey clouds and fog surround everything around me and loneliness fills the room im in i stare out of the window.
and my face is mirrored in the glass and i observe raindrops that patter against the window they run down criss cross

my breath steams up the glass and i paint pictures into it.
my reflection emerges again unclearly within the haze
and then:

with arms wide open i embrace all those pregnant memories from the bottom of my heart, cause they made me what i am today, with all my heart

i stare into my eyes.
i start dreaming and ersume images from my childhood and youth.
birds pass by.
at the grey horizon i gaze after them and remember how unconcerned
and free i was as i kid
without the stress that fill my present days
don't dream your life
live your dreams instead of pictures from your past
fade to grey and disguise with the time but others stay clear

you remember some with a crying eye
but most of them with joy and a smile
these are the moments i'll never miss

the moments i reminisce and dream of past and experienced days
