The ring: Originally, this song was made for the theatre play t__led ''EMBARKED'' by Neda R. Bric. The play was dedicated to her grandmother Felicita Peric who like many Slovene women worked as a maid and a nanny in Alexandria, Egypt at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. With the money they earned these women fed and built their home villages.
The poem in which a bride-to-be expresses her devotion to marriage was found in a letter of Felicita Peric. Later we discovered that the poem was written by a famous Slovene poet Simon Gregorčič.
