profess the pure, unattained glory of Shri Raghuvar, which bestows the four
fruits of life (Dharma, Arth, Kama, & Moksha).

Knowing myself to be devoid of intelligence, I recall Pavan k__ar (Son of the
Wind God) for strength, intelligence and wisdom and remove my blemishes
and short comings.

1. Glory to Hanuman! Ocean of wisdom and virtue, Hail to O'Kapisa (Monkey
Lord)! Your glory is well-versed in all the three worlds (entire cosmos).

Ram doot atulit bal dhama
Anjani-putra Pavan sut nama

2 You are the emissary of Shri Ram, abode of immeasurable strength; you are
the son of Anjana and Kesari, but also known as Pawan Putra (Son of the
Wind God).

Mahavir Vikram Bajrangi

3 O valiant! Your are as Mighty as thunderbolt.
You dispel the evil thoughts and stand by with the virtuous.

Kanchan varan viraj subesa
Kanan Kundal Kunchit Kesa

4 The color of your body is golden, splendidly adorned. You wear kundal (heavy
earrings) in your ears and have striking curly hair.

Hath Vajra Aur Dhuvaje Viraje
Kandhe moonj janehu sajai

5 You carry in your hands a vajra (thunder bolt) and Dhuvaja (virtuous flag). A
sacred thread of munja (dried grass) adorns your shoulder.

Sankar swayam kesri Nandan
Tej pratap maha jag vandan

6 You yourself are Lord Siva and joy of Kesari.
Your omnipotent glory is revered throughout the world.

Vidyavan guni ati chatur
Ram kaj karibe ko aatur

7 You are intelligent, virtuous and supremely wise, always eager to fulfill the
wishes of Rama.

Prabu charitra sunibe ko rasiya
Ram Lakhan Sita man Basiya

8 You are always keen to listen to the narration of Ram's deeds. Ram, Lakhan
and Sita always reside in your mind.

Sukshma roop dhari Siyahi dikhava
Vikat roop dhari lanka jarava

9 You appeared before Sita in a tiny form.
You a__umed a gigantic form and set Lanka on fire.

Bhima roop dhari asur sanghare
Ramachandra ke kaj sanvare

10 You took on the colossal form to destroy the demons. By that you
accomplished the mission of Shri Rama.

Laye Sanjivan Lakhan Jiyaye
Shri Raghuvir Harashi ur laye

11 Bringing the Sanjivani (an herb that revives life) you revived Lakshman and
Shri Ram embraced you with joy.

Raghupati Kinhi bahut badai
Tum mam priye Bharat-hi sam bhai

12 Raghupati ( Shri Ram) praised you with great admiration and said, "O Brother
(referring to Hanuman) you are as dear to me as Bharat."

Sahas badan tumharo yash gave
Us kahi Shripati kanth lagaave

13 The sehstra Nag through his thousand mouths sings your glory;
saying that Shri Ram embraced you affectionately

Sankadik Brahmadi Muneesa
Narad Sarad sahit Aheesa

14 Sankak and the Sages, Gods like Brahma and Munis (hermits), Deverishi
Narad, Goddess Sarawati with Aheesa (Mother of Nag Devtas)

Yam Kuber Digpal Jahan te
Kavi kovid kahi sake kahan te

15 Even Yamraj (lord of death), Kuber (lord of wealth), the Digpals (Lords of ten
directions), the poets, and the scholars, how can they articulate your glory
which is beyond infinite praise.

Tum upkar Sugreevahin keenha
Ram milaye rajpad deenha

16 You rendered great favor to Sugriva by introducing him to Rama and he was
blessed with the kingship.

Tumharo mantra Vibheeshan mana
Lankeshwar Bhaye Sub jag jana

17 The universe knows that by following your advice Vibheesban became king of
Lanka.

Yug sahastra jojan par Bhanu
Leelyo tahi madhur phal janu

18 Though the fiery sun is thousands of miles away from the earth, you grabbed
it and placed it in your mouth as if it was a sweet fruit.

Prabhu mudrika meli mukh mahee
Jaladhi langhi gaye achraj nahee

19 (After grabbing the sun), there is no wonder that you could leap across the
vast ocean and carry the ring in your mouth.

Durgaam kaj jagat ke jete
Sugam anugraha tumhre tete

20 Every ardous task in this world becomes effortless with your grace

Ram dware tum rakhvare,
Hoat na agya binu paisare

21 Even to attain Ram you are the channel; without your consent no one can
reach Him.

Sub sukh lahai tumhari saran
Tum rakshak kahu ko dar na

22 All the comforts take refugee in you
Those who you protect should not have any fear

Aapan tej samharo aapai
Teenhon lok hank te kanpai

23 O Lord! Please hold your splendor within you as the three worlds (entire
universe) tremble at your roar.

Bhoot pisach Nikat nahin aavai
Mahavir jab naam sunavai

24 The ghosts, demons and evil spirits keep away where your name (Mahavir) is
uttered.

Nase rog harai sab peera
j__at nirantar Hanumant beera

25 O Veer (Brave) Hanuman, all diseases, pains, and sufferings are eradicated by
constantly reciting your name.

Sankat se Hanuman chudavai
Man Karam Vachan dyan jo lavai

26 Those who remember Shri Hanuman in thought, words and deeds
with Sincerity and Faith, are rescued from the crises in their life.

Sub par Ram tapasvee raja
Tin ke kaj sakal Tum saja

27 Above all the kings Ram was the most pious and dutiful king even his missions
were accomplished through you.

Aur manorath jo koi lavai
Sohi amit jeevan phal pavai

28 One who brings yearning to you, they obtain the imperishable fruit of
existence.

Charon Yug partap tumhara
Hai persidh jagat ujiyara

29 All through the four Yugs (ages), your splendor is radiantly acclaimed all over
the cosmos.

Sadhu Sant ke tum Rakhware
Asur nikandan Ram dulhare

30 You are the protector of saints and sages.
O destroyer of all demons you are the beloved of Shri Ram.

Ashta sidhi nav nidhi ke dhata
Us var deen Janki mata

31 Mother Janki bestowed the boon on You to utilize the Astha (8 powers) Siddhi
and Nav Niddhis (9 treasures) among His bhaktas ( 8 Siddhis: Anima,
Mahima, Garima, Laghima, Prapti, Prakamye, Isitwa & Vashitwa. 9 Nidhis:
Pajha, Mahapajha, Sankh, Makar, Kashap, Mukund, Nil, Kund & Varcch).

Ram rasayan tumhare pasa
Sada raho Raghupati ke dasa

32 You hold the elixir of Shri Rama. Your disciples have always remained Shri
Raghupati's bhakts.

Tumhare bhajan Ram ko pavai
Janam janam ke dukh bisravai

33 Singing your praise one finds Ram and escapes the sorrows of countless lives.

Anth kaal Raghuvir pur jayee
Jahan janam Hari-Bakht Kahayee

34 One who chants your name at the end of life goes to Vaikunth (Ram's abode).
There after in all further births one will be born as Hari-Bakt.

Aur Devta Chit na dharehi
Hanumanth se hi sarve sukh karehi

35 When all the other deities are not responding to one's prayers, devotion to Sri
Hanuman one can gain all the happiness.

36 One is freed from all the sufferings and pains by chanting your name O
Hanuman The Balveera

38 One who recites Hanuman Chalisa hundred times, becomes free from the
bondages and enjoys the supreme bliss.

Jo yah padhe Hanuman Chalisa
Hoye siddhi sakhi Gaureesa

39 One who recites the Hanuman Chalisa achieves success.
For that Lord Shiva (Gaureesa's husband) is our witness.

Tulsidas sada hari chera
Keejai Naath Hrdaye mein dera

40 Sage Tulsidas says that he is a humble bhakta of Shri Hari,
he prays that the Lord grants him a s___e in his heart.

O Pavan nandan (Son of the Wind God), destroyer of all miseries, you are a
symbol of auspiciousness. King of Gods Shri Ram, along with Lakhan and Sita
reside in your heart.
