B: A new and efficient way to learn.

Regular daily listening and reading is a powerful way to learn. But it is not enough. You need help to understand the meaning of new words and phrases that you are listening to. You need an efficient system for remembering these new words and phrases so that you can use them when you need to. You need a system that makes the phrases of English natural to you so that you use them without thinking. You need a system that helps you to speak and write using your newly learned words and phrases. That is what The Linguist system does.

Listening to the radio and watching television and films are relaxing and stimulating activities which I recommend to the language learner. However, they do not constitute intense efficient learning activities. They will not enable you to learn new words and phrases fast enough. You listen, partly understand and then the words are lost.

Instead you need a way to retain the words and phrases you hear and to learn to use them. You need a more intense language experience. You need to study in a more efficient manner in order to make a breakthrough. That is what The Linguist system provides.

The Linguist is not for everybody. Your starting level does not matter. Your language ability does not matter. What matters is whether you can find a way to enjoy your studies, to consider your learning an adventure, and to put in the necessary time. Most of our learners study over 5 hours a week and enjoy it. They achieve their goals.

Language study should be an enjoyable adventure, not an extension of school. We do not believe in grammar study and quizzes. We do not believe in role playing or make-believe activity. We do not believe in text books and classrooms. We do not believe in the many computerized systems which have been developed which are often just more of the same old language teaching system. No more text books! No more classrooms!

We know that forcing you to learn grammar rules will just introduce a filter between your ideas and your ability to express yourself in English. You need to develop the natural ability to speak correctly without even thinking about it. Research has shown that grammar study does not improve fluency! Many teachers like to teach "why" this is right and that is wrong. But asking "why" is not an efficient learning activity.
