"On the way home from a gig in Scotland, the band decided to stop and visit Lindisfarne. We spent the most beautiful day walking the island and finished off watching the sun go down and praying together. I remember sitting on the rocks near the water (the monks themselves had prayed in the same place and the places were called 'prayer holes') and frantically scribbling words on a scrap of paper as the winter daylight quickly faded. Those words later formed the basis for this song."
